Does anyone here know where to find the blue book value for our classic mustangs? Yesturday my 68 GT/CS was smashed into my a motorcycle doing about 45 mph when I was doing about 5 mph. It took out almost the entire passenger side of the car. If the other guy's insurance company decides to total it out, idon't want to get screwed. :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

On a kind of a funny note I work with the guy who hit me. On a good note he didn't get hurt wich is really what I was concerned about.

hmmm most places only go back until 1979. I dont know if they track blue book information. The only way I know how is to search autotraders, ebay, etc. I seem to remember Allstate telling me this a long time ago when some friends of mine were looking at car values.

you may want to try hitting up a local book store for Kelly Blue Book ... maybe you will a reference guide for classic cars??

here is one

I just did my 1969 -- $21450 average retail.

That's horrible! I'm sorry to hear about that. Hopefully you get it fixed!

Check out NADA or Hemmings for a more accurate value on a classic. Here, I have the page all set up for you. Just enter your options and then click "get used value."

KBB and NADA are basically references for an average price. The thing with those sites is that they don't always reflect a true market value for the car. Even the little black books like Galls that we get at the dealership aren't always accurate as it's tough to get an exact price on a classic or limited edition vehicle. The best thing you van do if you want a more solid number is to have a professional appraiser look at the car. But NADA is a great starting point

there used to be something called a mustang black book in the mid 80's that helped set a value.

I imagine now, its a sellers market for a price. ie how bad do you want one?
