I stripped the new trunklid down to see how bad the damage was under the bondo. It's a pretty big area so I'm weighing my options. I've 2 other lids that both have mangled trunklock holes and one has some rust in the frame at the edge. What's your opinion?

A. cut off bad section of skin, straighten the frame, patch with piece from one of my other 2 lids?

B. remove skin from frame, cut and patch the bad corner, put skin on one of the other 2 frames?

C. cut out lock section to patch one of the other lids? (only problem is that the others have some rust in the frame at the lip and this one doesn't)

D. Find some stinker who's willing to pay too much for a 3-pack of trunk lids that "need minor repair" and buy one good one???

Seriously, how bad is the rust on the other 2?

That's vote number 2 for that option. I've been searching locally for over a year and this is the best I've come up with. I have a fear of it getting banged up too if I had one shipped.

Not really that bad. One has some small holes along the inside edge but the ouside is ok other than the lock hole.

Any idea where else I might look for one? I've put out feelers on the different forums and searched swap meets but haven't had any luck. I just started another round of forum want ads.

You could try the new eBay "Want it Now" feature and see what happens?

I haven't been able to access ebay's "my ebay" all darn day. I'm losing out on some things that I was watching and that end today.

Well I HAD some good leads but noone will reply to my emails now. How the heck am I supposed to buy something if they won't answer questions, send pics or give me a price? Same old story different day.

Anyway, this isn't a pressing issue just yet. This weekend I'll be finishing the body work on one front fender and starting on the door and quarter.
