Where's the best place to purchase a new 9" rear complete with gears ready to install at a good price! I want a bolt right in for my 65 Fastback 289 4v 4-Speed car
and what gears should I go with? 3.25?

If I were you I would look around locally. Those things ain't cheap from Strange or Curie, a good drivetrain shop in your area should be able to take care of your needs for a much better price. the shipping alone would be scary on a complete unit.

As far as gears, I say a 3.50 or 3.55.
But that depends on your driving intentions.

I don't know about the where - Strange and Currie are probably the best - but gears depend on how you plan to drive. I have 3.25 in my 9" A-code 4spd car and I wouldn't want a 3.50+ for a casual driver to the shows. As a matter of fact, I've thought about going to 3.00 because I just don't drive it hard, and the headers and flowmasters can get to howlin pretty good on the highway (not that there's anything wrong with that B) ).

If I were set on building a 350hp motor and taking it to the track once in a while, I would step up to 3.5 at least.
