79 302 into 66 coupe...help

Allrighty, I've got a 66, 6 cyl coupe with a c4, and a 79 302. Anybody know which bellhousing and torque converter I need to mate these up?
TIA

The '79 302 used a 157T fly 28oz unbalance vs 50oz for the '82 and up 302s

here is some good info that may help..

It is not a drop in. Far from it. If you didn't know...

You will need (if the car doesn't have it):
v8 brake system for the front and back. Better yet, disc in front. Better than that, power boosted brakes.
v8 spindles, likely.
v8 suspension and steering front and back.
Motor mounts
Wiring harnesses
Bigger battery
V8 radiator
Drive shaft.
Exhaust
Fuel lines and pump (if electric.. best is a tank pump.)
and probably a few other items, but that's enough for now...

If you run that V8 on an I6 suspension/brake setup, though, you are asking for hurt in one way or another.

If you DID know all that... well, just makin' sure nobody else tries it.

Yeah, I'm well aware it's not a drop in, I've already got an 8" rear end and front spindles/brakes/suspension from a '66 GT sitting in the shop floor.
I just want to make sure I buy the right parts the first time around.
Thanks

Cool. It's just there's still the 'I wanna do it!' people out there who don't, so I worry.

Have fun with your mods!

My 16y/o son is the "wanna do it" of this project. Pretty sure by the end of this project he'll know allot more about patience.lol
We got him a set of tools and a pickup truck full of rusty parts for Christmas!
