r u sure? did u buy it in 78? (im assuming you're refering to yours) if so, then that's awesome! or did u buy it from someone else. if it was from someone else, i wouldnt be so sure
either way, can we get some pix of that King Cobra? i've always wanted one to transplant a new 5.0 or a 351 into

hmm interesting. sounds good. my main question was, did ford even have a 5 speed tranny yet in 79? thats what im wondering. obviously they did i guess. maybe you have what could be the prototype to the modern mustang's 5-speed

According to Brad's timeline, the 5-speed came in to production midway through 1983. It would be interesting to see an original window sticker or dealer invoice showing that (or maybe a dealer installed upgrade...though I am not sure when 5-speeds began being produced...even in aftermarket form).

s|o|u|p| my, is there is a tag on the right side of the tranny case? if it does have a code it might tell what tranny it had but i dont know...if you wanna post the tags numbers you could it might help
i thought they only had the c4 and the fourspeed but best of luck to you of it having an original 5speed its always great to have a one-of-a-kind-car
