69' Fuel Tank Replacement

I'm replacing the tank on my 69' Mach and basically the options are stainless or not stainless. I was just curious to see what others have done in this section scenario. Also anyone have experience with purchasing these tanks from CJs or NPD?

on a car that you half way take care of and garage now and then a regular gas tank should last 30 years .. a stainless steel one will last 100 years .. how long you keeping the car ?

You also have options for a 19 gallon and 22 gallon tank for that year. I put a 22 gallon stainless tank in my '70 Mach 1. The only issue I found was there is less clearance on the left side of the car for the exhaust pipe, between the leaf spring and the gas tank. You may have the same issue with the smaller tank. I ended up contouring the side of the tank so the tail pipe would clear.
For the few dollars more, I thought the stainless tank was a better option. I don't need to top off the tank over the winter for the peace of mind that I never need to worry about rust.
I also ended up modifying the tank this year for EFI with an in tank fuel pump, the stainless steel made that much easier, I didn't have to weld over any plating like you would have with a steel tank.
Not sure who I ordered it from - could have been CJ, I'll check my records when I get home.
