Short answer: No, they won't fit. Fox body pony wheels are 4 lug.

Long answer: Maybe if you are very lucky and/or resourceful
For a time, Ford Motorsport made a 5 lug version, but that is now hard to find, and the backspacing/offset is all wrong for our cars and would need spacers/adapters to fit. Also, a company in the mid-late 90's made the pony wheel in 5 lug, with the propper offset for our cars. They didn't make this wheel very long, and it is practically impossible to find now.

I know all this junk because I too have lusted after the fox pony wheels for my 66. I've basically given up on this search and will most likely be getting latemodel Bullitt wheels and adapters to make them fit ok. Just so we can drool over them, here is a pic of a buddy of mine's '65 fastback with the chrome pony wheels that were made specifically for classics.

Hmm, doubtful.

If the bolt pattern is the same (I don't know if it is or not), you'll still have to get some custom made adapters to make up for the backspacing/offset.

You should just measure and find out.

All 65-73 Mustangs with four bolt rims have a 4x4-1/2" bolt pattern. I do not know the original offset and backspacing of your wheels, but you can measure that.

The 74-86 Mustang 4-bolt wheels have a 4x4-1/4" bolt pattern, so no they won't fit.

They do make the cobraR wheels. I had 4 lug on mine until i started the change just recently. Do a search out there for cobraR replica wheels. I thought they lookded pretty good. Only thing I'd put on mine if they were still 4 lug. Still... you're better off doing the swap. It's cheaper than buying rims, and it sets you up for WAY more options.
