'65 Fastback, time to sell or hold?
The price on these cars has held fairly steady and low the last few years. I've been thinking of selling my '65 Fastback since I bought a 2012 Boss. It seems a bit ridiculous to have two toys. Plus the wife would like a (ugh) Corvette. Any one think the market will move up at any point and I should hold, or is this as good as its going to get and selling now or later won't make a difference? There's no urgency to sell the car.

I would like to see pics of the 65. 65 fastback is a great car to hold on to till its worth selling. Not sure what they are worth now but it's a very special car and I'm sure it will be worth a lot one day.

I think you would do better to hold onto it. There is a 65 Coupe in better shape then mine at a local Dealership for 17k. I think the economy has been a big factor these past few years and has driven the value down on these cars.

I would hold onto it. I think you would probally kick yourself for getting rid of it, besides whats wrong with two toys? I have three and I wouldn't part with them unless I was going to be homeless or something.

I'll post some pics this week. All stock down to the 3-Speed tranny other than Cragar S/S wheels. One of the best penned designs in car history INHO. The curve and transition from the fastback roofline to the trunk has never been bettered. I've had it 4 years now, bought it out of frustration after losing out on a '69 Cougar Eliminator. Got me back into Fords and directly lead to my jumping all over the Boss 302 when it was announced. No top end at all, but corners surprising well.

Hey Fenderaddict2 you ending comment about no top end yet corners very well, is that about your new Boss? If so is the gearing in that thing not well suited for high speed? Seems kinda surprising since its a Road Racing built car and it should get to 160 i'd say easily since it rev's fairly high, please educate me about your new Boss I don't know much first hand from any owner yet... what's your likes and pleasant surprises and what you wish it had more of? Oh about your 65 any Pic's yet? And i've learned over the years all makers out there make something we all can appreciate, I find Mustangs fill a need and Corvettes fill another, for daily driving and comfort, Mustang hands down, but the Vette is just a different kinda ride all together, but they work well for a bow-tie.
