Cool 351W/C6 in a '66 coupe

Okay, I've asked this before and now I have the answer!! I spent the last 2 days (took my sweet time) trying to install my C6 from my old '78 E-150 in my '66 coupe and here is what I've found. Without some minor fabrication to the crossmember (ok, maybe major modification!!) AND shortening the driveshaft, its DEFINATELY not a bolt-in transmission. So now I guess I'll need to sell the C6 and get another C4 for my '84 since I wound up putting the C4 BACK into the '66. Oh well, at least it didn't cost me anything to learn this lesson!!

Yay!

Lessons like this are always better when they don't cost you money

I think once the C4 is in the 66, use the C6 money towards a T5 in that GT350

Hey, my friend found a pretty sweet deal on a 65 Coupe and my other friend has 2 351C's laying around. How tight of a fit was that 351 in your 66?

It's tight!! When the wife and I installed the headers, she asked if I ever had to pull them off, to NOT ask her to help me put them back on.
