1970 GT350 story

Read in the Dutch Mustang & Ford Forum.
(Thanks to Marc "72grande" for posting this story over there!)

This original 1970 Shelby GT350 was found in a barn near Lyon, France. It hadn't moved for 26 years and upon finding it was in terrible shape. The owner bought the car new in 1970 as 1 of 170 convertibles and 1 of only 45 Shelbys sold in 69-70 by Belgian importer Claude Dubois.
Even though the 351ci engine was no longer in the car or anywhere to be found, the owner managed to sell the car (in its present state, as pictured below) to an American buyer for the sum of 40,000 Euro (US$52,000).

I can't beleive that a car in that shapw could sell for $52,000 thats what the price of a mint GT-500 was in the late 90's

Good luck ! New interior, new roof, new wheels, finding a correct engine, and replacing all the suspension, brakes, fuel lines, and some body work (door is dented) It thinks it is in pretty bad shape !

I can't believe it went for $52000, you can still find '67 Gt350's project for $30000-40000 and are more desirable than '70's which by the way are '69's with different vin numbers and few cosmetic changes....
