1970 Cobra 302?
Ebay Auction for a 1970 302 Mustang Cobra Convertible.
What is this? It looks like a standard 70 convertible dressed up to look like more than it is. Timeline shows nothing.
Any other explanation?

HA! his side scoops look like freakin unpainted sheetmetal with the 302 hi-perf logo on it!
its your run of the mill vert with some logos and scoops and some interior peices bolted on. its a shame that ppl fall for these things

Here´s what I could find on those pics, the steering wheel is from the 65, 66 models, those cobra Jet emblems on a 302????, those .99 cent Cobra and Limited edition badges on the rear quarter panel, the 302 badges all over, the side scoops, the autozone radiator bottle, the pin striping, the cobra and mustang script on the fenders, the running pony and the snake on the grille, and that nasty luggage rack on the trunk lid. I see nothing wrong in making your car as tacky as you want to, I do however mind if you try to pass it off as the real thing. Funny thing, he doesn´t post the VIN.
The guy insists it has been appraised at 50k, and that the appraiser did a search of Ford´s records for the car and they "match with what he has", when in fact, we all know that any self-respecting mustang enthusiast knows that Ford has not own the records for classic mustangs for a while now, Steve Marti does.
This car is nothing more than this guy´s idea of a "cool car". I hate people who try to take advantage of others. I hope he gets sued for fraud.

While I could not agree more that this car is little more than a car that has about every darn accesory in the book for all year models tacked on to it, I will say this much. It is not impossible that this guy bought it this way and is now just trying to pass the buck (or in this case $2 bill) along after realizing he also got dupped. Nothing on this car is irreverisble really and with that said since there were less than 5,000 verts made total in 1970, it could be made into far more than it is today. Worth 22k, probably not but there simply are not alot of 70' verts to choose from these days. They do fetch on average bewteen 8 and 28k so if it is solid and decent running, the price is not completely out of the ballpark, especially for ebay.
WHAT as P.O.S. ... That's not an original rollbar for the car, it's not even an original Shelby Rollbar, It's a reproduction... Cheap steering wheel; cheap stick-on BS; cheap hood pins in the wrong place... cheap thrill to impress the ignorant... WHAT as P.O.S. ...
From the bidding he's got compadres driving the bidding up. AT $28k and not meeting reserve, coupled with shill bidding he's trying to milk it as high as he can and perhaps follow things with a "2nd Chance Offer". The bidding stands well above what the cars worth, although you could resell all the bogus badging and pom-poms leaving the you the car with little invested

Well, so long as it's not my money and I'm not currently in the buying market, then I say great. Heck, with results like this, I just may consider putting my car on the block once it's fixed. I could probably fetch enough to finally start restoring a Shelby.
he says it makes 350hp, has a new paint job, has new brakes undercarriage and exhaust, later he said its all stock
this guy is full of himself and anyone who would think of buying this thing for over a few thousand has their head in the clouds
if the bidding was low, i'd see a reason to jump all over it and remove all the ruin he put on it, but now the price is insane
