1968 Mustang Headliner Installation
I'm getting ready to have an upholstry shop put all new upholstry, headliner, etc in my 1968 Fastback. I was thinking I read something once many many many moons ago that said the front and back windows needed to come out for the replacement. Is this true?
I need to replace the front window anyway because it has a bunch of deep vertical scratches that really hamper the vision, especially at night. I'd rather wait a couple months to save up the $200'ish for the window, but if they have to take out the window to install the headliner I can kill two labor issues with one stone.
Thanks.

Yes, in order to properly replace the headliner the front (front only on a fastback) and rear glass must come out. I've seen installs that skipped this part with varying degrees of success, but usually a car that needs a new headliner, could probably use new rubber on that glass anyway.
