Yep - at LEAST 3 years! I had started it back then and got as far as the wooden frame, then just kinda petered-out. But after I finished that roof console a few weeks ago (and still had plenty of white vinyl left over), I decided to get 'r done.

Like I said, it's the same off-white vinyl as the roof console - but it looks really white in this pic; the same real wood veneer and stain; and 1965 A/C registers. I'm not thrilled with the black surrounding the shifter bezel, so I think I'll come up with some kind of aluminum frame. But for the most part, I'm pretty happy with it.

Now I need to think of something creative for my outboard A/C vents so all four will match...

Nice job. Are those air registers or gauges?

Thanks!
They're 1965 Mustang A/C registers.

Nice Job! I'd like to see a pic that shows how the whole thing looks with upper and lower in the same shot. What the heck did you use for cup holders BTW? It looks like a wire mesh.

"I think I saw those at Office Depot."

Nope. WalMart!
Yes - they're wire mesh desktop pencil holders, and they're the perfect size.

Don't know about the upper and lower squeezed into the same shot... I'm happy to try though after the weather clears up around here.

WOW! That looks really great!!

Nice work you do there. But how many customers would wait 3 YEARS for their own? j/k of course!

"...how many customers would wait 3 YEARS for their own?"

Exactly! I've had a couple local Mustang friends ask what I'd charge to make them each one... It took me all of 3 seconds to answer "never again!" I'm really not very skilled at this stuff at all. I'm an artist and designer - but the abilities begin to seriously weaken soon after the thought process! None of these "inovations" are very polished when seen up close. Corners don't match up very well and there are wrinkles in the upholstery and so on. Not the kind of work anyone would want to pay for! But they meet my humble needs and I get a kick out of sharing them with all of you.

Thanks once again everyone for all the kind words. Coming soon to a forum near you: dash-mounted gauge pod!
