1967 Shelby Trans Am Coupe Replica

Just wanted to share some photos of the car I have been working on far too long. As all projects, I though I would have this on the street by now. It is almost there though and I am hoping by about spring time it will be ready.

Well they can't be too far away, they've got the interior all buttoned up. Looks great!

Awesome ride. Would love to have a project car like that, except I lack time, knowledge, $$$, and space! Looks very much inspired by the Terlingua coupe. Like the suspension and brake bits. What about engine/transmission combo?

Thanks for the compliments. I will be using a small block 347 with solid lifters, which I already have, and a Tremec Road Race 5 speed which I will probably purchase from Modern Driveline.

The work left is:
Finish off all brake lines
Trans and motor
Fuel lines and tank
ignition sys
cooling
traction bars and subframe connections

Probably a little misc. stuff

Sweet build. Is that the TCP rack and pinion setup, all rack kits I have seen mount behind the suspension? Nevermind, thought the car was pointing the other way.

That looks like it's gonna be a great car. Good luck getting it finished soon.

nice. like the old style looks with new style rack and pinion and coil overs.
that will be bad with the 347 and killer suspension.
