I think it is worth that price but it will always be worth that price where as something nice and original of that price range will be worth more in time .. I would not be afraid to buy it had I a few spare bucks .. I like non original stuff ...

I seen it listed on another site for like 54. I would have to ship it back to the states because it would be stupid to try get it street legal here in germany. So about 2500-3000 to get it back to the states. Just considering buying it sending it to the state and reselling for a profit. I have seen the car and it is nice! Lots of money in it but I thought it would be worth more.

Thanks for the advice

So is it completely unable to be used at all in Germany without being certified? Can't even take it on tracks?

It can go on tracks but they have I think 2 drag strips on has about 6 events a year and the other maybe 2. I'm only here till next spring.
The car would need to have a stock style hood and nothing sticking out of it. Also some exhaust mods to bring the db down. I think it 100 db allowed. Also something will have to be done to the rear end its has to have closer to stock wheels. Probably more stuff to get it street legal in Germany. It would be a lot easier to take it back to the states

My biggest issue with it isn't the mods or retaining value. It's that you could pretty much only use it as a drag car right now. If that's what you want, cool, but why not build something that you can both race and cruise in? Probably worth more too if you turn around and sell like he is doing.

I'd say that price is probably fair. If it were me, I'd sell the engine and drop in something that doesn't obscure my vision - that should cover shipping.

Thanks for the information. that black one looks great and same style to the red one.
It just seem it could bring more than that so I not going to try and buy it to resell. Would love to just buy it and drive they hell out of it.

How is the same car listed for $26500 in Germany and $54000 in the U.S.? Is the Gateway ad old? Did he buy it from them?

I emailed the company in the US and they said the car is no longer available.
I wonder the current owner here in Germany paid that for it. He is in the Army
