Autozone records only go back to '69. That's what. Most of the auto parts are like that. Sometimes they'll work if you use 69, and sometimes they wont. Here's a 'wont'.

/last I remembered...
//66 was the same issue. Had to use some 69 parts, and some, well, you just had to go to Johns or California or such.

Mine has that plate over the back of it. I hadn't had it out before. So, when I picked up the new one, I didn't really know what to look for. Got it in now.
Changing the radiator today. Checked the temp all over the radiator and got very different readings throughout. Almost 40 degree differences on certain rows. Putting in a 3 row aluminum today. As soon as ups gets here. Im guessing that, before I got the car, whoever put in the new rad didn't flush the rest of the system. Then clogged the new one immediately. Once again, fingers crossed.

Just so everyone knows... I'm an idiot. New aluminum 3 row radiator and my car doesn't run over 190. I guess maybe I was misreading the causes of my overheating. I'm really sorry to waste everyone's time. Thank you all for your input and next time I'll look at the simplest things first.

Now, now, don't be hard on yourself. You didn't know the radiator was the deal for sure, and it's defnitely not the simplest first.

Good that it's workin', and that's the best part.
