1965 Production Numbers
In searching the production numbers for my stang, I've noticed there was 2 trims offered for the '65 2+2 fastback... a standard (71,303 made) and a luxury (5,776 made).
Is there a way that I can figure out if I have either trim with my vin? I wanted to see if I can do this myself without having to pay for a Marti report.
Thanks!

Don't bother with the Marti Report, they don't go back that far....

A google search found this site where I was able to find most of the info manually.

Something I noticed is I dont seem to have the letter that goes with the body style (ie: 65A = hard top with standard seats). I only have "65" - which would answer my original question of if i have a standard or luxury car.
Am I out of luck? Or can I try to use the sequence # (last 6 digits) in the VIN? Does anyone know if there is another website out there that decodes?
