1965 mustang

Hi I have a mustang that was originally a 6 cylinder that was converted to a 289. My question is did six cylinder cars have 5 lugs or four. Mine has 5 lug spindles but has all six cylinder suspension componets including the center link and tie rods. Any help would to let me know if this is a correct set up would be greatly appreciated.
