I saw this on the web. At first, I thought it was somebody doing a terrible modification, but according to the byline, it was actually a concept.
I don't know anything about the history, but thank goodness Ford never produced it. Where would the Mustang be today, if this had come out?

Who built it, and why? And was was it presented to Ford? Weird. I don't understand!!

If you click on the "back to vehicle list" link at the bottom of the page, you see that Intermeccania has built several remakes, modifications, etc. They also produced the about 1,200 convertibles of the 1980 Mustang which was written up in the MotorTrend mag.
It also shows 3 of the 1965 SW being built.
