I know several of you are currently pondering rims. The 05 V6 wheels are one possibility that has been mentioned. They DO require adaptors, but I gotta admit, the end result looks pretty good... It'll be interesting to see where the pricing levels out on these.

Just another option for some of you to ponder...

Honestly there are too many negatives of using those wheels for it to be worth it in my opinion...

1.) 16" ... we know the pitfalls of that
2.) 1.25" spacer is needed ... that's a lot to run.

That looks great!

As soon as I saw that design, I thought it'd be a great wheel for a classic. I'm sure the price will go through the floor once a year or two worth of V6's are on the road.
Probably not the setup I'd want to run at the track (with that much adaptor in there), but Id roll those on my cruiser any day.

Jay can you tell me whats wrong with 16"? are there clearance problems? I have a 65 coupe and I think 17s look too large and I was thinking of 16s for mine. (I have 14s now)

16's are just tall enough to have interference problems with the upper ball joint/control arm. With 17's the UCA fits into the wheel opening.

With 16's you are also limited with some big aftermarket brake selections. Performance tire selection is narrow compared to the many offerings in 17s... the list goes on.
