Ford Shares Strategy for Keeping New Mustang Secret
There was, of course, those leaked pages from an Automobile magazine spread before the car’s official Dec. 5, unveiling. But all and all, Ford did a really good job at keeping the highly anticipated new design a secret, which presented some unique challenges.
“I would say Mustang has gotten more attention than any other vehicle that I’ve ever been associated with,” says Raj Nair, Group Vice President for Ford, in the video. “It’s been a challenge keeping the vehicle under wraps.” And that says a lot consider, Nair has worked for the company for more than a decade.
The Ford video, entitled Hiding in Plain Sight: The Art of Camouflage, highlights the passion taken in keeping the s550 hidden from those scrambling to get a photo of the car. And from the sound of it, the new Mustang team could have a few more tricks up its sleeve other than the details we’ve heard about so far.
