Ford Reveals TracKey for Boss 302
Want a track-ready Boss 302? Well, just use the red key.
Available for the Boss 302 and the Boss 302 Laguna Seca is a second key, called TracKey. When used the key changes over 200 engine parameters on the Boss 302 changing it from a street car into an all out racer. Gone is all the refinement and computer interference, replaced by raw power. So when you slam down the right pedal, gone is the computer-generated smooth powerband, replaced by a wide open engine that is taking its commands directly from your right foot.
“Anything that could possibly affect all-out performance is deleted from the TracKey calibration,” said Dave Pericak, Mustang Chief Engineer. “Throttle limiting and torque management – any daily driveability enhancements are removed and replaced with a pure Ford Racing competition calibration.”
Not only do Boss owners get the ability to add this option, they also get a tutorial on how to utilize the power. Every Boss 302 customer will get free performance driving lessons at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah.
