Ford Makes Nostalgic Video Chronicling the Making of the Mustang
Well, Ford has posted a film called “The Mustang” tracing the development of the Ford Mustang Concept 1 research vehicle as part of the carmaker’s celebration leading up to the 50th Anniversary of the pony car and next year’s debut of the 2015 model.
From a behind-the-scenes look into the design sessions at Ford’s engineering center in Dearborn, MI to a front-seat view of Dan Gurney piloting the mid-engined sports car at the United States Grand Prix road racing circuit in New York, the promotional piece provides a lot of insight on what went into making and introducing the Mustang.
Even in these days of High Def TV, Mustang fans will find the nostalgic piece pretty interesting from a historical perspective and likely learn something new about the iconic car as well.
