BOSS 302 PDI FORM & NOTE for LS Owners

This is the Specific Form for a PDI or Pre delivery Inspection on your BOSS 302 & Laguna Seca. Just an FYI.

Here is something you may want to Advise your Dealer on. When a PDI is Done on a Laguna Seca a BLOCK OFF PLATE is removed on the Side exhaust. Do not confuse this for the RESTRICTOR Plate.

If you do not Ask it will Likely end up in the Trash. I think it would be a cool Item to Save or to Use if you did not want to Run The Side Pipes.

I have not verified this but it was inferred while looking into a Retro-Fit H-Pipe Side Exhaust Setup.

Enjoy,

Kc

I didn't see the note about removing the cap on the checklist.

Paragraph 3 Item 2

It falls under the Follow Instructions supplied with car I would surmise. I {believe} the cars are shipped without the Sidepipes installed and the caps are to block off the open exhaust. Course I am reading between the lines. But I am pretty fair at it.

I do not believe you are reading this (or assuming) correctly. Although there "may" be a block-off plate installed (I do not believe there is one) paragraph 3, Item 2 is discussing the front splitter and the front brake duct kit. Both Ford Racing Components. With the X-brace in the LS, Ford cannot ship the LS front splitter in the car. It is shipped to the delivering dealer separately. It simply will not fit in the car to enable shippment with the car. The brake duct kit may be shipped in the trunk, I am not sure.

But the 2 forward axle exhaust ducts are itentical to those on the street boss, so why would there be any difference in the exhaust system PDI for the LS version relative to the street boss? And these exhaust ducts are installed on our car when it leaves Flatrock.

Thanks for listing the form, as it does show the one item so many often say is not part of the PDI process , and that is the test drive. It breaks it down so folks can understand why this is an important part of the process.
