Upgraded my Fog Lights (with how to)

Got my Hoen fog lights today (H10's). So I figured I might as well change them right away while taking some pics and do a quick how-to guide. It's a really easy 10 minute job. But for those of you wondering how to, here you go. I didn't take any before pics of the OEM fog lights turned on, since I figured they're all over the forum. Just picture yellow fog lights next to the HIDs

btw, don't forget, amidst all of this, DO NOT TOUCH the bulbs with your finger tips! Use gloves, or just simply use the base of the socket only. Your finger oil will create a hot spot on the bulb, causing it to burn out prematurely.

Anyways, removal of the radiator shroud was pretty easy. I also used this time to remove my prop rod, since I had MRT struts in there for the past few months. Anyways, just remove the 6 push clips holding the shroud on, and slide the shroud out and off and set aside.

Next you have to reach in behind the front grille and in front of the radiator. It's a tight squeeze in there, but luckily I have oompa loompa hands.

Turn the base of the light counter clockwise and remove the light socket and light in both fog lights.

Push the tab holding the Sylvania OEM (btw, I was surprised the OEM lights are sylvanias) lights, and pull the OEM socket out.

Then replace with the uber cool Hoen lights Push till you hear and see the tab click.

Place the socket assembly back in using your tiny arms and hands and turn clockwise this time.

Replace the shroud back on and push back the 6 clips.

Stand back and admire your engine bay, tadaaaaa

Turn on the lights and this is what you see!

The light output is much brighter and much whiter. I love the Hoen bulbs. Goodbye yellow halogen fogs. A worthy mod for cheap.

After a quick 10 minute job, I went ahead and charged my battery since I've been driving short distances this week. Now I'm off to bed

no, I don't have any before pics. They're all over the forum here. So I just have all post-Hoen install pics of the lights on. One shows the fog lights on by themselves, 2nd pic shows fogs on with HIDs.

Hey there. I'm looking to do the same thing. Which website did you order from? And...do the H10s fit for sure? There's not H10-sub-part-#? Thanks!

FYI for those who may want to know, fog lamp bulbs for non-GT fog lamps (06-13 Pony/MCA/CS/13 Canadian GT) is bulb number H11.

hey PJR... sorry for delay... been so busy lately. I ordered straight from the Hoen website. They have a selection there for the exact vehicle. H10 is what I have, I don't remember any sub-part. Direct fit. Turn mine on often
