Warped rotors already??
Well yesterday I noticed that on braking (not hard) I was getting a slight vibration and wobble in the steering wheel, and put it down to the road conditions (some slush and water from the thaw).
Today I got the same thing driving back home (300Km drive). When I checked the rotors I have found 3 to be nice and shinny but the front right has a nice rusty ring about 1/2 inch wide right in the center of the rotor (BBP). Car just turned 2000kms (1200 miles).
Anyone else had this problem or this this the first?? Dealers don't open until Monday so no car this weekend just incase

Your car is new enough it should still be covered under warranty even though the rotor is a wear item.
You should be okay to drive on it until you can get it replaced this week.

I have the standard GT brakes, 13.3", and I use them pretty hard from time to time, and at 5800 miles, they still have not warped, knock on wood.
If you already have warped rotors, it could have been from a car washing or cold rain/snow slush splashing on the rotors; cold water on hot brake rotors will cause rotor warpage. Also, if you're heating the brakes up good and then just parking the car with hot rotors without a cool-down, this will lead to rotor warpage too.
If you take it to the dealer with this condition, all they are gonna do is machine the rotors flat, which will make them feel fine for a little bit, but once they are warped, they will continue to warp again and again. The only good side to this option is that it won't cost you anything to have done as long as you are under 12,000 miles on the car, after that, the brakes are deemed to be free of defects and fall back to a full-maintenance item.

Excellent read! Thanks!

Good read.
As it happens turned out to be a small stone trapped which was causing uneven pad pressure when the brakes were applied. They work just fine now with no odd patterns on the disc.
