It was a 4th gear pull (1.32:1), you are supposed to dyno in 1:1 which is 5th gear on the 2011's. doh!

I noticed that too. But, weren't some people having trouble dynoing in 5th gear because the car was hitting the speed limiter and shutting off before it hit redline? Or did I just dream that?

Again, that does not matter. It would read lower not higher.

Yes, it bumps the speed limiter before you get to peak RPM in 5th.

What I think these places should do is write a simple tune just to remove the speed limiter before they do the dyno pull. Of course I think the car would be turning the tires at close to 170 MPH at peak RPM in 5th with 3.31's.

Actually, looks like you should be able to do a 5th gear pull with 3.73's since it will only be doing 152 mph at 7000 rpm.

Wonder why someone with 3.73's hasn't tried that?

Maybe overcompensated for 4th. I think at this point the guy just needs to hit a track and see if the quarter corroborates.

They are testing the DI engines and have put them in random '11's. This is what you can expect in 2014.

I am extremely skeptical that this is happening. Test vehicles are emissions exempt because they haven't been certified yet. Ford would not and cannot sell non-emissions cars to the public. If they are testing DI, it would be within their own engineering fleet of cars.

I am guessing the fall weather is now showing its effect on horsepower numbers.
