8/16/2010 Powertrain Change?

Found this post on AFM

"Was perusing Ford's parts site and looking at transmissions and engines. Apparently there will be a change made on 8/16 to a different version or config of the 5.0 and MT82. Curious..."

Any ideas?

Interesting. Wonder if there's any truth to this.

I doubt it, but could be that header change that was rumored...

I highly doubt they'll change the headers , as it was a big selling point for the 2011, and something they showed off a lot. I could see them making a PCM change for the trans, but nothing huge, unless they're seeing high failure rates or a potential problem.

It's probably a minor change that won't result in any change to the drivability of the car. Like I said before, a PCM calibration or something simple like that.

I agree, more than likely just PCM changes to fine tune things even more.

Let us know what you can dig up. I'm holding off until Job 2, but if something major is changing and possibly for the worse (which I doubt), I will move my order up sooner.
