2012 Mustang GT ordering information - Any more updates?

It's a '12 Lava Red GT Premium Coupe with Charcoal/Lava Leather. 5.0L, Automatic, 18" Polished Wheels, Rearview Camera, Comfort Package, and GT Package 1 (decklid blackout panel, side scoops, and side window louvers).
If I am somehow able to buy it, then it would replace my '07 GT and be a daily driver with minor mods and occasional bracket racing. I probably won't be buying it and it'll just go on the lot available for sale. I order a new Mustang for myself every year, but only actually buy one every several years, so this is nothing new for me. Psychotic behavior, perhaps, but I think it keeps me sane!

Hmm sounds good, just don't like the louvers/scoops. From your current car, you seem more like a less-is-more kind of guy!

I don't like the side louvers, and would pull them off and sell them, but I like the rear blackout panel and side scoops (reminiscent of my Mach 1's).

Personally I wish Ford would allow the ability to order the hood scoop/side scoops/louvers etc from the factory a la carte; personally I want the hood and sides ONLY but the available packages add a whole bunch of stuff I don't want and I have no choice but to get the extra stuff as a dealer install.

I see. I like the blackout panel, and I'm really excited to see Lava Red with the two-tone interior. If it looks anything like the HD F-150, I think it will be a hot seller. I so wish I was in a position to buy again...

Missed the 2011 cutoff date !
My dealer in Oxnard, CA accepted my order for a 2011 GT in 18 NOV 10. A full month later I'm told, sorry, production has ended, and so has the incentives for 2011. They have placed an order for the 2012 GT but the cash price is unknown. I'm guessing zero incentives or rebates on a new model.

Incentives for 2011 have not ended... you just have to buy one off the lot since production has ended. Right now you can get $2000 in rebates from Ford on 2011 Mustangs (both V6 and GT).

Just ordred a Black 2012 Mustang GT, 400A, 3.73 Gears, Brembo, HID, Comfort, Secuirty Package. X-plan pricing as $35,000 without sales tax and registration. Traded in my 2004 Volkswagen R32. Now just need to wait about 10 weeks...
P.S. - First planned mods; Tinted Windows (possibly quarter louvers), GrabberPony Shift ****, heavy duty rubber floor mats, upgraded speakers.

I was able to order mine for $100 over invoice minus any rebates that are avail in March when they projected delivery. I went with Lava Red although I wish I could have seen the color first! I looked everywhere and could not find the 2010 F150 Harley edition that has that color. I was going to get black but I wanted a metalic paint,,hope I am happy but I think I will be!

Is that your 05 GT in your avatar? Looks nice! This will be my first mustang. I wanted the brembos for the larger (cooler looking) brakes, special rims and pirelli tires., strut bar (comes with any 19" rim), sports tuned electronic power assited stering (epas), and stiffer springs/struts and possibly different control arms from what I have read in these forums. I only test drove the non brembo version so I hope I like the stiffer ride and tire repair kit instead of a spare tire. I think thats alot of stuff for $1600 bucks. The electronics package is nice because the screen really fills the dash nice and the pony logo on start up is pretty sweet also works better with the back up cam. I actually called and had them add the back up cam to my order because it comes with IMO the best looking spoiler, its length is somewhere in between stock and the gt500 one. The picture shows up in the rear view which is nice , I figured why the hell not for 400 bucks, comes with a nice looking spoiler anyway.I am very excited as you can see by the BOOK I am writing. Hope you get back into the mustang game as its the community seems to be very good people and the cars to be a good time.

Mine will probably be ready for March as well, I guess they don't even start production until the 01/19/11 . Who knows how close we are to the front of the line on the 2012's. I think you will be happy with the Lava Red, I haven't seen it either but I know many people that are very excited about it as well. There really is no mustang color that looks bad which I have seen.. well possibly that yellow one but its not that bad.. especially with the brembo rims
I think every color gives off a different vibe, just matters what you going for.. Heres my take on it. Race Red. = Hot, Fast , Exciting, Aggressive, Wild, Sexy
Red Candy.= A little less hot and exciting than race red but much more manly and mature and just as aggressive. Dominant.
Ignot Silver.= Sleek, Elegant, Sharp, Clean,
Sterling Grey.= Just as sleek, elegant as ignot silver and it looks meaner hand has a more aggressive vibe .
Ebony(Black).= Very Mean, Aggressive, Sharp, Elegant, Evil
Performance White.= Mean, Aggressive, Sharp, Elegant, Pure
Grabber Blue.= Elegant, Exciting, Sharp, Unique, Cute.
Kona Blue.= Sharp, Elegant, Aggressive and mean but cool and collective. More of a mans blue than grabber blue .

My dealer just called. Says ALL 2012 GT's are being HELD. Although serialized, will NOT go line as scheduled. BOSS, Shelby and V-6 2012's are being ALL BUMPED UP to the front of the line. Line starts 1/18/2011 with the new configuration. Says he has IN HAND memo from his regional rep.
