Pete's 2000 GT
I just picked up my new to me 2000 Mustang GT today. It's Bright Atlantic Blue, which is ironically less bright than I was expecting. The first thing that hit me was how beautiful the color is. Really it is the most gorgeous blue I've seen on a New Edge. It's got a the newer hood scoop on it, painted black to match the black Bullitts and black Mustang inlay in the bumper.
When I turned it on it idled flawlessly. That alone had me sold on buying it. Then I drove it, and that just blew me away. It's all stock under the hood except a K&N filter, and it still feels like it pulls way harder than my 94. The only pain in the butt with driving the car is the stock shifter, that made me feel like I was rowing a boat after having the MGW in my car for the last few weeks, but luckily that will swap over without a hitch.
Interior is extremely clean dark charcoal, which should help keep the temps a little lower than the 94 with the real black interior. It also has a pretty good tint in the back, and legal limit in the fronts which should keep temps down too.
My plans so far are to swap the Watts, Konis, MGW, Steeda C/C Plates, and the Cobra brakes from the 94 over to the new one, but that is all subject to change depending on how lazy I get, and how desperate I get to sell the 94. The seats in the 94 do hold me a ton better than the stockers in the 00, but realistically this is a daily driver, and it is not worth the loss in comfort to me to have seats that hold me.
I will have pictures tomorrow, but those of you on Facebook can check out my new profile picture. In the morning I have a three hour drive home to get to know the beast.

Well after a day of driving (237 miles to be precise...) I am stunned. It is blindingly fast compared to the 94. I had expected a decent amount more pickup, but really I am beyond words about it.
The color gets prettier every time I look at it. With the tinted windows, the black hood scoop, Mach chin spoiler and blacked out Mustang lettering it just looks perfect. The stance looks gorgeous as well, but the body roll is way more than I am used to. I can not wait to feel this with the Race springs and Konis.
The Mach 460 stereo system is awesome too. I can have my music going at full blast without a single rattle or crackle from the stereo. Amazing. As for the rest of the interior, I think I'm set on keeping these stock seats, because of the whole seat belt ordeal. Other than that the car is as clean as any New Edge I've ever seen. Looks perfect. Just planning on swapping in that 03 center console over so I can have usable cup holders, and the MGW so it doesn't feel like I'm rowing a boat when I go through the gears.

Looks beautiful and this one hasn't had the disgrace of supporting Arin's naked hide.
That color has always looked good with black accents. Congrats, and welcome to Club BAB!!!!!!!!!!!

The 94 has 230k miles. This one has 107k miles, so less than half the miles.
Other I'm really loving the color. Every lighting situation it just looks stunning. It sounds like Arin is coming down Thursday to help me swap over all of the suspension from the 94, so hopefully it won't feel like such a boat.
