Koni Shocks are on sale---BIG TIME

Koni STR.T for 2005+ cars: $318.08/set (were $399.00)... LOTS IN STOCK

Koni Sport for 2005+ cars (fronts are still on backorder): $597.36/set (were $750/set). Plenty of rears in stock fronts will ship directly when they arrive in from Koni Holland--sorry no ETA at this time.

And for those who had Koni Sports on backorder, I will be working out credits for those pre-paid orders once the shocks are actually delivered.

Sam,

Should I call or order the STR.T's online. I just can't pass up this deal seeing how I have a leaking rear shock.

Most awesome pricing. Thank-you! I think I will be putting a order in. How do these compare to the Tokico HP shocks and struts?

I have a 07 GT w/eibach pro kit, are the STR.T's sufficient for normal driving conditions? Would it be worthwhile to get the Sports for mostly street driving? I will be placing an order by end of the week....thanks.

You can do either, but online is quicker since I'm often on the phone... your choice though.

Better riding, slightly better control than the Tokico's (which they aren't bad at), and way better build quality and warranty support should you need it.

Yep, in fact that's what they are meant to do--offer better damping for those requiring it. They won't handle all lowering springs, some are just way too stiff and short like H&R Race--but they'll control Pro-kits quite well.

Sports are never a bad idea--but cost a lot more too. Those that have Sports tend to run them places that are firmer than the settings that are more STR.T like when they can pick and choose to their liking. But the STR.T's are one of the few non-adjustable shocks that could actually live with day to day--and I'm picky.

Already got my sports on back order along with some steeda springs. Sam's a S197 suspension guru.

Ordered Sunday! Can't wait!

Actually may have to wait, I think I want to do Steeda Sports too and so I'll wait to install till I get the springs and do it all at once.

What's the consensus on strut mounts? Can I get away without replacing them? At nearly $300 for the Steeda units, that's as much as the STR.T's

I've been wondering that too. Are they needed if you stay with stock springs?

I think Ford recommends replacing the strut mounts when they are disassembled. People that haven't seem to have problems with that popping sound. I went with the GT500 mounts when I replaced mine, but my car is a daily driver.

I have reused mine and also replaced them at one time. Didn't notice much difference between. You don't really need to buy the expensive steeda units you can use the gt500 as stated above or new ford gt strut mounts. Ford did improve the mounts after the 06 model year.
I don't know why ford says to replace them everytime probably to make a few more bucks off of us.

I know that the Steeda strut mounts are expensive but if you can afford them i highly recommend them. They will not pop and you can add negative camber which equals crazy grip. You can also add positive camber if you are lowering but who wants that...

the difference between the gt500 mounts and the gt mount is about 30 bucks a piece and the gt500 have a little stiffer rubber on them. You won't be able to tell the difference between the two when driving. The gt mounts are 42 bucks a piece

Find an FRPP dealer, and get part # M-18183-C they go for $85 to $105 online, and are the GT500 mounts if you don't want the Camber adjustment. About the same price as you'd pay for the GT mounts, with the upgraded rubber in em.
