VIDEOS! 2011 GT running at Spring Mountain
Pete's 2011 GT running at Porsche Track Day, Spring Mountain Motorsports, Pahrump Nevada, October 14, 2012. This track requires windows all the way down, so instead of hearing that glorious 5.0, there's a lot of wind noise, sorry. 2011 GT, only lightly modified for the track: GT500 SVT exhaust, resonator delete, Roush CAI, Eibach Pro-System-Plus-Kit (springs, dampers, sway bars), Ford Racing GT500 forged wheels, 19 x 9, 255/40 19 front, 19 x 10, 285/35 19 rear, stock brakes.
This is the track video filmed from a windshield-mounted digital camera (simple plain Nikon CoolPix):
This second video is some pics & short video clips:

Pete - dude you are living the dream! That was an awesome video! My wife & girls watched it with me and we greatly enjoyed it. I have to say that I noticed how great the resonator-delete (which i dont have) sounded with the GT500 mufflers (which I have) - serious race car roar! We all liked how you laid waste to that raspy, chainsaw-sounding 370Z. And of course I love those new wheels you have too. Well-done on the editing/etc too. A track-day like that was what I immediately felt I needed after installing the Steeda Ultralite springs and Koni STR-T dampers. Unfortunately life keeps getting in the way and I simply haven't been able to make it out to V.I.R., which is about 3 or 4 hours' drive from me.

Thanks, Eric. It was a great track day. Next one is in December, and I'll make another video (or two). Wife and son come at lunch time for an hour or two to watch some hot laps, and they loved it, too. With just a few mods, these cars are absolutely awesome on the track. This was my plan when I bought the car, and so far it's working out great. What a tough, fast, machine. Love it. Take care, brother.

Thanks, Jerry! The next one is C&C, December (I sent you an e-mail). If not, then PCA in March. Miss u brother!
Thanks, Jed! These cars are such a bargain, and so much fun on the track. Maybe next year you drive out here for a track weekend. Plenty of room for you to sleep over, too. Take care!

Fellow Nevada/SoCal Mustang owners who track their cars...I have another post with details about the next open track event in December at Spring Mountain Motorsports in Pahrump Nevada. Anyone like to join me there? It's awesome.

Hi Pete, like the other guy said... nice lines. We will be shooting to be there at SM for the event. It will be great to meet up with you and any of the others that can be there.
