2013 at Dealer, and one small problem...

So today is a beautiful day, went fishing in the morning and though I will visit my dealer on the way home, as I know the car will come this week.
To my surprise, the car came in just yesterday, and I got to see it with my own eyes.

First I splendor on the beauty of the car, the front, the back and then I look inside ,and Im like "oh yea those recaros look amazing" right through the driver side. what caught my eyes was the passenger side panel, where instead of the normal leather insert, it had the CS with pony logo leather insert, so Im at that point thinking, hmmm they changed the design, maybe its standard and comes with the recaros.

so then i walk away from the car go get my father to see the car.
We get to the car I let him look it over, then I went to the passenger side and to my horror, I see the other side panel, the drivers side one has the normal leather insert.

I wasn't mad tho, just shocked and kind of laughed at the concept of how on earth does a car go on an assembly line where you got it go through so many people, and no one noticed that doors don't match, even my sales guy didn't say anything about it.

I have appointment this Monday, and didn't go and inform the sales guy about the issue, but I will wait till Monday and show them, unless they notice it by then.

I will use it to my advantage and try to get the dealer and get the other CS panel insert, I like it

What if it's a 5.8 litre, 650bhp Shelby motor?

I 'spose this just goes to show they are, at least, still built by humans......but you'd hope the Quality Control would be a little better!

I'd be going over it in fine detail, just in case it was a "Friday afternoon" build.

If that's the case, I would not inform the dealer of that minor detail..

I bet insuring a GT like that, would be somewhat "HARD"

I'm kind of disappointed that now when all I have to do is paper work and drive off, now I have to go get my brand new car "fixed" to correct a factory mistake.
Glad its nothing major, but still don't like the idea of them taking off the panel....oh well hope the CS inserts will make up for the mistake
Will take some pictures to show you guys, maybe Tuesday.

Or there could be just one more, except the emblems are one the other way.

Hyper, I've heard of things like that. Strange the QC folks missed it. But, they could have just sent it along for the dealer to repair. Either way, it will be fixed. Congrats on the new ride.

yea maybe someones sterling gray GT CS will come with my right side doors with the normal leather insert.

I heard Jeeps having same problem with the fenders coming all mixed up, they have the painted or the plastic ones, and sometimes it will come with one or the other mixed up.

Car looks great, told them not to wash it , I will do it myself afterwards but it did come little dirty so will take my time and be sure I wont find any other surprises.

Only the second time I have heard of something like this but sure it happens more than you think. Back in the late 80s I was looking at a new pick-up. I was pretty basic except on one side it was bagged as a F150 and on the other it had either F150 Lariet or XLT. I thought that was neat but the dealer changed it.
