your pocket knife?

I carry a kershaw 3650st. Not bad for the price, index finger quick draw ball bearing monuted blade. http://www.thekershawstore.com/Kersh...-p/k3650st.htm
So lets see what you carry, post up a picture!

Ya know, me and cdynaco were talking knives just the other day.

But I'll post it again here.

From bottom to top.

My kershaw blur rescue model. Has blunt tip, window punch on the end, great knife to carry for ems/firefighter service.

My everyday carry pocket knife, kershaw blur with tanto blade. Next one will be same model but with eagle claw blade.

Big fan of the blur series. the grip is excellent, they are razor sharp and hold an edge well, the speed assist doesnt make it feel like its goign to jump out of your hand, but is lightning fast and its the perfect size for me if I am wearing gloves or not.

next up my fix blades. the 3rd from left is my home made knife that my father made me from an antler of a 6pt he killed. this knife is with me anytime I am in the woods period. and usually its close by as well if I am not in the woods. it may not be the best steel, but it holds a great edge adn can seriously skin a deer with little effort. Extremely well balanced also.

Lastly is a puma pathfinder my dad bought me. I dont use this for anything but skinning now. It stays in my pack when im in the woods. It is german steel with 09/rc written on the blade, you can probably tell me more about how good or not that is. Its a great light knife and i love the blade design for skinning and meat work. I dont carry it on me like I do the one above solely because the sheath doesnt have a way to secure it like the one above.id hate to loose it accidentally.

When I wear a belt knife, I use my trusty 70's Rigid (Apache).

Like this one:

Here on the ranch, my "in my hip pocket" is one of these cheap Husky utility knives.
They're small & light, cut thru bailing twine in a flash, just replace a razor blade rather than sharpen, and I don't care if I lose it. (I'm not sure it really qualifies as a pocket knife though... )

Like this one:

When I go to town I carry one of these. I've been a veteran of the Swiss army since '75

(sorry for the huge pics, just grabbing them off ebay)

For the past 4 or 5 yrs I've been carrying a kershaw blur

The little one next to it I started keeping on me after my grandfather died. It says Kenneth Reid on the blade but I don't know much more about it.

My everyday knife is a Emerson Commander Karambit I've carried for 4 or 5 years. It's a discontinued model and a very fast opener as most Emersons are.

Yeah I am huge fan of the blur series, perfect for my size hand, I love the speed assist, and the grip works great with or without gloves on, which in the fire service, i am in both situations alot.

I'll have to try one of those speed assists. I'm a little paranoid and don't even try those with the thumb studs. I had to have my thumbs stitched up 3 different times as a kid with those dammed Barlows. lol

This is what mine looks like, but not with Rolex on it. It's one I got from my Motorcycle Club:

It's small, but does what I need it to do. I have other implements of destruction for larger tasks.

The kershaw speed assist isnt like your normal spring loaded blades. you can do this at your own pace, or flick it with your thumb and it does it in a split second, btu doesnt feel like its gonna jump out of your hand. Its hard to explain, you just gotta try one. I DO NOT like spring loaded opening blades period, but the kershaw is perfect.

Here's a video of an Emerson knife opening, not the one I normally carry even though I own that one and others. The Emerson knives use a "wave" on top of the blade that catches your pocket as you draw it, opening the knife.

I'm not trying to be a **** but this reads as if you are not a Ranger. If you are a Ranger, your statment should have read, above "my" Ranger tab. You of all people should know what it's like to have some **** bag plastering tabs or their person on their gear. Like I said, it's not me being a ****, just been around a lot of wanna be's in my time with the Army.

Here's mine:

Sorry , no hard feelings about the Ranger thing. I realize i should have clarified. I take that backpack hiking (spend half the year in this little Montana town) and camping, and want to be a Ranger, so for 1.50$ i got a tab heh.... no hard feelings, not trying to b a poser. I thought people would understand since im a youngin
Also, whats a good assisted opening knife? Im not very up-to-date on all the options. But under 150$, what would b the best? A Sog?

It's alright. The guys that earn the tab deserve a lot of respect. I've met a lot of bad apples in the Rangers as well so I probably shouldn't be so defensive. I guess it's a pride thing, I didn't want to harp, it's just an automatic reaction. If it were me, and you wanted to go SOCOM, I'd go Special Forces. But that's just me. Don't let the Ranger thing brain wash you. Check out all the possibilities of SOCOM, there are some great schools from the Air Force and Navy as well. Enough of that. About your question, I always like Benchmade or SOG for assisted open. Can't go wrong with either.

Good luck to you and I hope you get what you want. If West Point doesn't work, there are plenty of ways to go. I've had West Point officers as well. Weren't all they were cracked up to be either. Just Sayin'.
