Whippled 04 Mystichrome cobra....
A friend of mine picked up a Mystichrome cobra up for $16,000, car has 33,000 miles on it. The reason the guy sold it so cheap what he ran into some money issues and needed money, the down side is the bottom end is hurt, we haven't got into the motor yet as we just got it down here at 12:30 last night but the crank is most likely shot and who knows what else. It has a built top end with a nice set of cams and a 2.3 whipple on top. The past owner said its a piston & rod with stock crank and stock block. So the plan is drop the motor out, send it to a machine shop and pray the top end isn't hurt, bottom end will most likey be a MMR block(4.6 or 5.0), Ross pistons and Carrillo rods and a new crank. The car made 756 on 24(?)lbs.

Will do, my buddy is currently saving again so the car is going into the garage till around the new year till he can afford a "worst case" incase the heads are wiped out. But we think the bottom end is the issue, car lost oil pressure and has a BAD vibration but sounds healthy so like I said we are praying its just a scorn crank. And like I said while the motor is apart pistons and rods and if the block is hurt a MMR block. Owner is looking for a street legal, streetable car.

Needs to be more Astony
16k would be a awesome price on a 33k mile mystichrome. Hopefully the top end is okay and he will have a decent deal even after changing the bottom end.

I personally feel that the 2003-04 Cobra is the ultimate 4th gen Mustang.
The 2004 Mystic Cobra is the ultimate 2003-04 Cobra. If I where in the same position I'd buy the car too, good luck on the motor. I'd probably trade my 20k 2003 Cobra for a low mile Mystic.

Oh agreed on him getting a deal, I thin the car blue booked for $23,000, if not more. Also agree about the seats, not the most flattering part.
As for the steering wheel his looks like its just plan ol black, did I miss something?
Some more pictures:
Lil ol 5.0 helping it start up today, all in all sounds healthy but not 100%
Little ol whipple
Some pretty flawless paint
