Forget a Maybach. European car builder Vilner Garage will turn any S550 into a drop-dead gorgeous luxury stallion.

Fans of the S550 Mustang enjoy perhaps the most robust aftermarket of any car model on the planet. Want to transform the exterior to your own personal taste? No problem. More concerned with building a quarter-mile destroying performance demon? Well, that’s shockingly easy. There are also quite a few aftermarket interior options out there as well, though they don’t really measure up to the rest. Enter Bulgarian custom car builder Vilner Garage.

Unlike the countless custom S550 Mustang builds out there in the world, Vilner’s focus point with these two rides is, surprisingly, their interiors. Thus, both cars had to be convertibles. That way, the fruits of their incredible efforts are fully on display. And those fruits are some of the most beautiful Mustang threads you’ll ever lay eyes on. But why two cars instead of one?

“Of course, there is an obvious reason for us showing you two projects based on the same model, side by side. It’s a showcase of our different stages of personalization,” says company founder Atanas Vilner. Sounds reasonable to us. You won’t find any hard plastic trim or other cheap stuff in either car, however. Vilner has used acres of Alcantara and fine leather to create the sort of cabin you’d expect to see on a high-end luxury car.

In the process, Vilner took the opportunity to add additional pony logos on the door panels and carpet. But the crowning jewel of all this hard work might just be the steering wheels. Each use two different leathers on the outside, Alcantara in the center, and the requisite “centering stripe” up top. Truthfully, it looks like something that belongs in a Porsche, not a non-Shelby S550 Mustang.

Despite their similar materials and treatments, both cars sport distinct designs. One lies on the wild side, with red and white stripes brightening up the standard black leather. The other is an exercise in subtlety, with blue accents adding some serious contrast. But both Vilner Mustangs are wholly unique. And we’d be more than happy to rock these custom threads in our own rides!
