2019 Ford Mustang

Ford ups its Mustang discounts significantly, and inventory is plentiful, making this an attractive time to buy.

Most people already know that waiting until the end of the calendar year is typically the best time to score a great deal on a new car. But if you’re itching for a brand new Mustang, you don’t have to hold off for a couple more months. Because our deal guru siblings at CarsDirect have sniffed out some seriously-good discounts on leftover 2019 Mustang inventory. In fact, they call these deals some of the best they’ve seen to date, making now a great time to get behind the wheel of a new pony car.

These deals vary depending on which model you choose to purchase, of course. But virtually every model across the board receives at least a $1,000 increase in its rebate offer. Starting out with the base Ecoboost, that means rebates have jumped 67 percent, from $1,500 to $2,500. Step up to the Ecoboost Premium Coupe, and you’ll receive a $3,500 rebate. And if you opt for a GT or convertible model, you’ll save $2,750 right off the top.

But that isn’t the end of these fantastic deals. Ford is also offering an additional $750 off on cars that have remained in dealer stock for over 61 days. That means total discounts jump to $3,250 for base Ecoboost models, $4,250 for Ecoboost Premiums, and $3,500 for GTs and convertibles. Compared to last year’s $2,500 discount on leftover ’18 Mustang models, it’s a pretty enticing offer.

So the only question left to ask is, is now the time to buy, or should you hold out a little longer? Well, CarsDirect feels like that depends. Current 2019 Mustang inventory is plentiful at the moment, so you’ve got a good chance of finding that specific spec you’re looking for. That figures to change as the months go by and more folks take advantage of these offers. Plus, Ford is also offering 0 percent APR for up to 72 months in select regions at the moment.

Then again, these particular deals also expire on November 13. CarsDirect believes that may indicate that Ford has even better offers in store, just in time for Black Friday and the holidays. So truthfully, the decision boils down to what you’re personal preference is. If you’re not picky about things like options and exterior colors, you might want to wait. Otherwise, now is the time to strike!
