Car Reviewer Crashes Supercharged 800 HP S550 Mustang
Supercharged S550 Mustang proved to be too much for the reviewer to handle, leading to a rather awkward situation.
By now, Mustang fans (and people that don’t exactly like them, too) are pretty aware of the bad reputation our beloved pony car has when it comes to crashing into things. For us, it’s a little annoying, because there are quite literally millions of pony cars out there, and the fact that a few have been wrecked by folks doing silly things, well, that’s not representative of most owners. Regardless, Mustang crash videos continue to surface on the web, but this new clip from car reviewer and YouTuber ArabGT features a different sort of crash involving a supercharged S550 Mustang.
The host of the channel – Kareem Deeb – managed to score the S550 Mustang from the person that owns it and was handed the keys for this particular video review. Packing a Whipple supercharger underhood, the car is said to produce a cool 800 horsepower, which is obviously a lot, particularly when stuffed in a rear-wheel-drive machine like this. Problem is, the review took place in Iraq, where there apparently isn’t any race track or suitable venue for such an endeavor.
Thus, Deeb figures that he can just take the S550 Mustang to an empty parking lot and rip off some donuts and burnouts for the video, which seems appropriate for such a car – after all, that’s what we want to see from this modified beast, right? At first, things go just fine, and Deeb is able to keep the pony car tamed for the camera, but soon, things turn south quickly, as is often the case.
While sliding around, Deeb loses control of the car and the Mustang’s rear bumper hits the curb in violent fashion, and he certainly looks to be quite shocked after the impact, though obviously OK. The car didn’t fare quite as well, however, and suffered some shockingly bad damage – the kind that might just wind up seeing this car get totaled. It’s a truly unfortunate result, and we can’t even imagine being him or the person that owns this car, which is now in need of some major repairs.
