Craving a 700-HP 2018 Ford Mustang? Roush Has You Covered
When the time comes, you’ll be able to pony up some coin and give your 2018 V8-powered Mustang a serious power upgrade.
The 2018 Ford Mustang isn’t on showroom floors yet, but when it arrives, you’ll have to make an important but relatively easy decision. Should you keep it stock, or upgrade it immediately? Well, Roush Performance has helped make that decision a heck of a lot easier for you!
Ford Performance and Roush Performance co-developed an all new supercharger for the 5.0-liter V8 engine for the 2018 Mustang. Even better, these supercharger kits are warrantied when installed by Ford dealer or an Automotive Service Excellence-certified (ASE) service technician. As it’s common practice of Roush Performance, the kit comes with all installation hardware and an exclusive performance calibration.
In case you’re wondering, is 700 horsepower really necessary? The answer is absolutely not yes! All the components in the kit are specially designed to work with the 5.0-liter V8’s new port and direct injection fuel system. The Mustang GT version also offers 610 lb.-ft. of torque at 12 psi of boost on 93 octane fuel for either manual or automatic transmission. Even better news, because we know some Mustang owners daily a Ford F-150, we’re pleased to learn that this supercharger is also compatible with the V8-powered pickup, and grants it a whopping 640 horses.
“Ford and Roush have teamed up on performance for years on and off the track,” said Doug White, Global Ford Performance Parts Manager. “This new supercharger is another great example of our innovation in performance, greatly improving horsepower and torque so people can enjoy two of our most iconic vehicles even more.”
While other aftermarket product manufacturers will most certainly produce supercharger kits for the 2018 Mustang, there’s always a big upside of going with Roush Performance products. From maintaining the stock factory warranty, to having a separate warranty for all new components, the value is most certainly there.
Even Jack Roush, Chairman of the Board of Roush Performance, described this as a “Simply incredible, no compromise performance kit.” We like the term ‘no compromise,’ as it makes it sound like this supercharger, along with the 2018 Mustang, will be a heck of a package.
