Book him: Mustang Thief Caught in Transit By Lucky Owner

A man in Arkansas was out on a normal drive when a 1964 Mustang on a flatbed trailer caught his attention.  He then realized that the car being towed by the truck was actually his Mustang, which was supposed to be in a garage undergoing restoration.

The owner called local police and followed the truck driver until he stopped and managed to hold him there until authorities arrived.  Further investigation revealed that the man had stolen the ’64 Mustang from the garage along with a 1969 Plymouth Satellite and a Celebrity boat and trailer.

The suspect, who was already out on bail awaiting trial for previous charges, was booked on theft and burglary charges for the Mustang and other stolen vehicles.
