Shelby GT500s and Coyote 5.0s Battle it out in ‘Mustang Mayhem’

The numbers are in, tabulated and already revved with comments for the American Muscle “Mustang Mayhem” event that we mentioned here a few months ago.

Now, it’s time for you to weigh in on the dyno results.

This year organizers added a spin to the power competition by placing  three 2011 Mustang 5.0Ls (#TeamCoyote) against a team of three GT500s (#TeamShelby).

To raise the stakes, #TEAMGT500 was only allowed to run pump gas, full bolt-ons with stock engine internals and no other power adders, according to American Muscle. The guys on #TEAMCOYOTE were permitted to run any fuel of their choice and whatever power boost they could get through the stock engine internals. Organizers allowed manifolds, but nothing else.
