Herrod Performance Unleashes New 5.0 GT Supercharger Upgrade
Herrod Performance has been a big-time tuner for years in Australia. The new S550 mustang has only been with them a short time. However, they wasted no time getting the Mustang GT 5.0 fixed up with a Roush supercharger. The results of which are both surprising, and… surprising.
The first surprise comes in the form of how much power it makes. The thrust is endless, and the install looks and performs like a stock unit. However it is also quiet, controlled, and the automatic transmission handles the additional power quite well. The interior has largely been left alone, leaving you with a factory feel. The suspension has also received only a few tweaks, though even if they are subtle, they bring out the best in the chassis. Rather than all out changes, Herrod opted for just a slight improvement over factory performance and the results are impressive.
Overall, as you can see in the video below, Herrod Performance has made a Mustang that you can drive every day without worrying about the quality of the drive. As the host says, if it weren’t for the stickers plastered on the outside, you’d never know it would pack such an impressive punch.
