Mustang Mach-E Reservation Site is Live

Ford’s Mustang Mach-E, a car that’s shocked enthusiasts everywhere, is already available in five different flavors.

We’ve known for some time now that Ford was cooking up a “Mustang inspired” all-electric SUV. But what we didn’t know, until Ford actually unveiled it, was that it was also going to sport a pony badge and the actual Mustang name. That little tidbit has sent a good portion of the Mustang faithful into a fit of rage, as you’ve probably noticed. Personally, we don’t see this as Ford “ruining” their legendary nameplate. Rather, they’re wisely taking a step toward the future with a futuristic product. And if you agree, you’ll be happy to know that you can reserve your Mustang Mach-E right now.

Customers can snag their spot in line for the first four-door, SUV, all-wheel drive, and/or electric Mustang ever built with a small deposit of $500 by heading over here. There are five flavors of Mach-E to choose from, starting with the special First Edition. Built in “limited quantities,” this special edition stickers for $59,900 and is available in late 2020. It comes with a nice array of standard equipment, including 19-inch aluminum wheels, panoramic glass roof, heated seats and steering wheel, and “First Edition” scuff plates, to name a few.

For those looking at cheaper options, the Select Mach-E starts out at just $43,895, but won’t become available until early 2021. It still comes with some nice equipment standard, including a 15.5″ touchscreen, 10.2″ digital cluster, Sync with navigation, LED lighting, and 18″ aluminum wheels. Step up to the Premium for $50,600, and you can get your Mach-E sooner, in late 2020. This model comes with all of the nice stuff the First Edition does, plus things like Active Park Assist and a 10-speaker B&O sound system.

Those looking for max range can get their California RT.1 Edition Mach-E for $52,400 starting in early 2021. Unlike the California Special Mustang, this special edition isn’t some appearance package. It has things like aero inserts in the wheels and other tricks to extract the best range possible – roughly 300 miles.

Of course, the Mach-E we’re most interested in is the GT, which has a starting price of $60,500 and goes on sale in Spring of 2021. With dual-motors and all-wheel-drive, Ford says the regular GT will do 0-60 in less than 4-seconds. Opt for the GT Performance Edition, and you’ll do the deed in the mid-3.0-second range. Ford says both GTs will pack an impressive 459 hp and 612 lb-ft of torque.

It’s hard to blame Mustang fans for being a little shocked that Ford would “desecrate” their legendary nameplate by affixing it to an EV SUV. But so long as we can still buy a V8-powered, manual-transmission, rear-wheel-drive Mustang, who cares? Now, we just need Ford to give us a little bit more power so we don’t get embarrassed by some guy in a Mach-E GT at our local red light. Are you listening, Blue Oval powers that be?
