Thanks.

I think after putting the blower on it, though, I'm gonna take the SHELBY badges off.

Weekly update...

Still waiting on the following parts:

Blower (I'm hoping for mid/end next week)
Distributor (don't understand the holdup here)

I order the following parts this weekend:

Accessory Brackets (changing from stock fox body brackets to billet aluminum)
Radiator fans, and temp sensor for fans

I removed the AC stuff (including the OEM lines that run to the firewall). There's no point in keeping it in the car, since I've driven through three Texas summers without it, and I'm still alive.

I put the carburetor back to its original jet and air bleed sizes, so I can sell it.

I painter taped the fenders and strut towers to avoid damaging the paint during the blower install.

There's still some question regarding the hood. I'm gonna have to cut a hole in it, and my engine guy thinks it would look cooler if I cut my Cervini Mk IV hood, but I can probably sell it for $600, or swap it for a cowl hood that I think would look better and be easier to deal with.

I really like what you have done with your car. In todays world most car builders take an older mustang and install a modern drive train and motor. You have done the opposite motor wise. The average guy would have take a 2012 mustang and installed a Boss motor or an aluminator. This car keeps me wanting more. Yes I'm old school and I'm sure that matters... But It's so different from the normal.. I'm a cam addict and need help :-)
Keep up the great work.

Many thanks. I call it a "retro-mod".

The average guy would sell the V6 and buy a V8. I agree that would probably have been the smart move, and certainly a lot less expensive, but I ain't like everyone else (something my parents always told me)...

I wanted a car that would be remembered as being completely unique. There are a number of people that are doing the same swap after seeing mine, so I figured I had to up my game with something so outrageous as to be awe-inspiring. What's more awe-inspiring than a 671 blower?

BTW, the blower was delivered today.

Inspected the parts today to make sure there was no shipper-induced damage, and could not resist the desire to mock it up on the garage floor. The first picture shows the crank pulley installed.

Now that's the crowning jewel.
It's a dam good looking piece of POWER.
Cant wait for your video on this with it installed and running.

Your parents knew they had something special. Now you know you have something special.

This is a very refreshing thread from the norm. I would say something special!!

Yeah

At the back of the hood, all you'll see (I think) is the carbs, but at the front, you'll see the snout and pulleys.

EPAS - didn't even try because there's no room for the steering rack due to the oil pan configuration. I'm using a hydraulic rack from an 09, and a fox body pump.
