Look at the power figures - 305 horses versus 300 on the previous V8. They're **** close to each other in acceleration and speed and the V6's great mileage is an added bonus.

The main difference is the kind of tourqe that the ole 3v 4.6 pushes. Its significantly higher than that of the v6 but the sixxer still manages to hold its own. Give it some shorter gearing, couple bolt ons and a tune and other than 03-04 cobras, lightly modded 2010 and previous gtʻs, and stock coyoteʻs, not many other mustangs could beat it down a track. And youd pass em at the pump anyway.

Well, actually its pretty much common mustang knowledge if one is an 11 plus V6 owner. See us performance minded.3.7 owners know what our cars are capable of doing from the factory and modified.

Its common knowledge that a factory 2011 V6 with 3:31 gears will hang right with a factory 2010 Gt with 3:31 gears. While the 3.7 may not take the win it will be within a car length or less away from the 10 GT.

My buddy has a 2007 Gt with a 93 race tune from bama and my 3.7 smokes his a$$ all day long and twice on Sunday of course mine is far from stock. .

Bro, I'm pushing almost 300 rwhp (297) on my little 3.7 and I'm beating modded 10 and under Gt's. With my 3:73 gears, one piece aluminum driveshaft and now my aftermarket LCA, my car shoots off the line with no wheel hop. The 3.7's are a pure awesome performance machine , they just need a little help too free that power.

Granted , it lacks some low end torque but with 3:73 or 4:10 gears problem solved and with that newer fancy six speed , the car produces its main power mid way.

Look at the torque difference. That's why the 4.6 wins every time.

Amen too that man. They do rock.. Dance!

True, but you put equal gearing in both and the 10 Gt will maybe win by one car length and most likely half car. That's the beauty of the 3.7, its holding its own and keeping right with the 2010 and under V8's. It ain't like the 2010 and under V6 models. Ford changed the game and a lot of V8 owners felt huge butt hurt over it.

No doubt. Depending on your mods and the 3.7 mods or lack of mods. However stock for stock, same gears each the 3.7 will hang right with the 4.6 all day long

OK... so how about you post a stock time slip of your car, and I will post a stock time slip of my car, and they will be identical right?

And again if I post the time slip of my modded car, your modded v6 should run the same times right?

Post them slips up!!

That would be great but my 3.7 is far from stock bro. Lol. As far as our modded cars go , so many variables besides just slip receipts. What are your mods? Are you running drag radial tires? Whats the temperature out when at the track? Are we running the same track or different? Some tracks run faster times than others. I'm not far from Cecil County raceway.

We would really need to run against each other at the same time , at the same location so the environment is exactly the same. Are you running a supercharger?

You didn't run the car stock to see what it did? I figure you would since you're performance oriented (even though it's an auto).
I'm just a bolt on car and I did run my car bone stock at the track in July 2008.
Do you think a 2011 v6 ran what i ran stock? Just want to know your opinion before I post the slip.

All these crazy questions, no slips... I so confuz.. lol
What do you run now modded? I'm not interested in scientific testing just want to know what you can back up.

You don't race on the dragstrip? so you don't know what it runs and you're over here talking about performance I thought you were into real racing lol.

My car came with 3:31's from the factory.

How can you say the things you say when you never brought your car to the strip?

Plenty of 11 plus V6's go too the drag strip. One doesn't need too go too a drag strip bro too know what cars are running. This site only promotes racing at the drag strip so that's how we shall keep it. With that in mind, are you anywhere near the Cecil Coubty Drag Strip. If so, I would be more than happy to give it a shot in my little 3.7 vs your Gt.

Me running at one drag strip doesn't mean crap against someone who is running at another drag strip in different track conditions, different weather conditions and different altitude conditions. That's not how racing goes. Typically, two cars line up next too each other via track , same track at same time, same conditions and go.

I'm not even saying you won't win but it will be close that's because the 3.7 is awesome and bada$$. Regardless , I'm real happy with my almost 300 rwhp little 3.7 sixer.

Ever heard of a 2011 v6 anywhere that runs 13.3's stock? If you didn't than it means that it doesn't run with 05-09 GT's.
Ever heard of a 2011 v6 running 12.3-12.5 modded? If you didn't than it means that it doesn't run with 05-09 GT's.
Just trying to educate.

I'm not saying you should not be happy I think the new v6 holds it's own and it's very nice. but you're just saying things that aren't true. I'm in NJ so yea not too close but if you're ever in town we can definitely take it to the strip. Do you run 12.3-12.5's in your modded v6?

I like that the new v6 makes as much power as it does, the surprised face on the new 2013 v6's owners that are bus lengths behind me makes me smile.

Great run bro. 13.3 on a factory 08 Gt no mods and factory tires. Very impressive.

I don't believe any N/A 3.7's are running 12.3 to 12.5 that I have heard. As for me, oh heck no. I would be thrilled with a 12.9.
