Shelby front end install begins PICS
Here are the first pics of the install. It began at 8 am this morning. Have had a few minor setbacks, but the parts we didn't have were ordered and will be here tomorrow. Our big hold up right now is trying to figure out the correct front fender well splash guards. My stock ones won't work.
I also need some opinions. Should I go ahead and go with the Ford GT 500 hood, or do you all think there will be a better looking aftermarket hood come along soon.

That car is lookin sweet, I cannot wait to see the end result. Personally I would got with the GT500 hood. I have no idea what may be coming out in the next few months.
Good Luck,
Bob

I wasn't wild about the stock GT500 hood, but now that I have the front end I think it would look better than my stock GT hood and it's a Ford hood, so fit problems wouldn't be an issue.

Robbie, I looked at the car a little more, and I think the GT500 hood will better match the lines of the new fascia. Originally I thought the stock hood would be OK, but I think with the different lines, the "flow" won't be right.
Guys, this thing is looking great! Can't wait to see it completed...

the GT500 hood is ok and folows the body lines but you want something to stand out unless you want to make the car a full replica....IMO make it your own car the way you see it in your eyes...do not follow the path that everyone takes

Need to see how the stock hood looks shut. Then decide what hood.

Great, just great, now I have to reconsider which front end I want on my car. I really like the Shelby front end after seeing it in person but I'm just not sure if it'll flow with the look of my car.
