That's a pretty good price from what I've seen. I assume you've exhausted all the usual suspects... AM/LMR/Hypermotive/modbargains/etc/etc/etc

Ya, it's the shipping that kills it. Was wondering if any body up here has a spot that does free shipping like AM down there, but I appreciate the help!

I take advantage of free shipping by having stuff delivered to a warehouse just below the border. I live close to it though. Have you considered that?

I've heard of it, but no I didn't research that and it's just a ferry ride away. Much appreciated, just wish the dollar was worth more than a bag of used pucks right now. I'm sure it would be better to be patient, wait and find a great deal ...... BUT I CANT !! In a arms race with my older brother and his camaro, and even tho mine is better I want to be able announce it from down the block.

Yep, shipping to the border is the way to go as long as you figure it all out. Factor in gas money, your ferry ticket, and you're still going to pay GST/PST/HST and duty (if it's not made in North America) bringing it back. Sometimes that shipping becomes a difference of just a few bucks. You pay the taxes on the amount of the part converted to CDN$. If your Roush axle back is American-made (I think it is), then $70 of that $101 you'd be paying bringing it over. Is your gas and ferry ticket less than $31? How much less?

EDIT: This is your friend: http://www.bordershop.ca/duty-tax-calculator

I use 'ship happens' in Sumas which only charges me a couple bucks per parcel. they hold stuff for 2 months, so i wait until i need to cross the border and buy gas or whatever. I only pay gst/pst (no hst in bc). However right now i'd factor in at least 25% for the low dollar. So, for the moment, my car mods are on hold. Finding anything at par or cheaper in Canada than across the line is virtually impossible except for used stuff on kijiji etc.

I know how much a ferry ride is (unbelievable), but if you know you are coming over at some point for other reasons then you could order something and let it wait for you. there are similar facilities in Blaine.

Thanks DarrenGT. I'll look into trying it that way and scoot over on one of my trips back to Wbank on the way through.

Yeah it's rough right now. Dollar is still dropping, nudged up over 1.26 today. You factor the extra couple % that credit cards or paypal charge you for foreign currency purchases and it's getting painful. I'm also putting my plans on hold... I should have bit the bullet and grabbed as much as I could during the whole black friday/cyber monday circus, considering the sales and the dollar was substantially better, but had Xmas coming and didn't want to over reach.

There is a local CL ad selling a pair of roush axle backs for the 2011's and up. Check CL ad for 2014 mustang gt parting out. It's a white wrecked 2014. Ad says $500.

Hi
Also in Canada You have to watch how they ship it to Canada you can pay way more in brokerage fees.
And you will still have to pay the taxes.
That's the way it is in Sask anyway
