2005 Mustang Automatic Shifter options?

So my stock shifter is messed up, in more ways than one. The indicator strip that so commonly breaks, is of course broken.

Sometimes it has trouble moving out of park and into gear.

I recently lost the screw that holds the t-handle down as well so I've been looking at other options. So far I've found these options.

Stock:

ATX: From my understanding this acts just like a stock shifter, with a throwback feel to it. Looks more like an old school shifter, and I assume feels more solid in your hand. Also this shift boot is a plus.

Gizmo + sick speed shift kit

Apparently these two in conjunction, the sickspeed shift kit allows you to press the shift **** down, rather than push a button in on the side to change gears. Along with the gizmo kit that changes the shift pattern, it allows you to push the shift **** down the move into one gear, let the **** up to slide into the next gear, and push down again, thus removing the ability to skip a gear, and adding a slightly more manual feel to it (obviously there's no replacement for a manual, but this can make it feel more interactive).

And finally the TCI ratchet shifter most of us are familiar with. Highest cost, but possibly the coolest one. Back to the old school slapstick feel.

Does anybody know of any other styles or types? Anybody done anything cool with their automatic shifter?

Gahhhh... I don't do slushbox so I can't intelligently comment on the shifter choices, but ****... all three options are pretty ugly IMHO...

Gizmo appears the worst to me. Looks unfinished - like something I could pick up at Pep Boys for $20.

I personally would like a shifter that looks like the 2015 ones... I wonder if they make one aftermarket?

I would go with the first one. It looks like a better version of the stock shifter.

I agree with everything you said. I don't love a slushbox either, but I have what I have.

The gizmo does look a little better if you put a shift boot on it, but still looks a little half assed.

I agree with that. Thanks for the input.

It says they are sold out at Mustangatx.

The problem that I see with that shifter and boot is that the slider is removed and replaced with the boot. While that is all good, the slider also has the indicator that shows if you are in park or drive or whatever. I would want to keep this.

I have been looking for some time at making my own, but can't seem to get around the problem of keeping the slider and the shifter indicator.

You can put n a 10-12 shifter or a 13-14 shifter.

I e-mailed ATX some days ago, but no response. Both of their products are listed as sold out. These guys not in business anymore?

My shifter went bad and I looked at all three of what you posted above. I ended up going to with a stock replacement from a member here on TMS. He bought the third option. The third option looks tough and somewhat fun to play with but it seems like you have to move it pretty far to get into the next gear. You can probably pick up a stock one pretty cheaply at the local bone yard

Just for my knowledge and edification, what is that dual switch thingee on the TCI ratcheting shifter?

Seems like an awful lot of business to just shift a gear.

Not knocking the shifter, just idle curiosity on my part. Anyone?

I'm gettin' the ATX shifter if it's me. As long as the ***** come in black instead of blue. Best option, I think, for the car, I don't need a rachet, and the other stuff is kinda gimmicky lookin' to me.
