Ford LTD Is the Four-Door Mustang You Want
What happens when you want a four-door Mustang, but Ford and the federal government says that you can’t have a new Ford Falcon complete with the Boss 305 V8? Well, you look to the past, specifically at this 1985 Ford LTD 5.0. It was essentially a four-door Mustang disguised in a more respectable body.
Under the four-door body, the Ford LTD shared the same platform as the Mustang, and this particular one shared many of the same go fast components. What this 5.0L V8 gives you is a 165 horsepower, EFI H.O. 302, which as you can guess, is absolutely terrible for a 5.0L V8.
However, given that this Ford LTD has enough space in its engine bay for this 5.0L, you’d be remiss if your imagination didn’t begin going absolutely nuts with all the possibilities. What about throwing an FPL or a Coyote into it? Imagine the looks on everyone’s face as you tear them a new one at the drag strip. Just you and your little Ford LTD.
While the Craigslist ad has since been taken down, it has our entire office looking for another, because we all have major problems.
