The Devil’s Reject Mustang has been around the block a few times. In the video below, Big Kleib caught up with the turbo blue Mustang to see how it got on with the competition at the Haltech World Cup finals. Turns out, a lot can happen in a drag racing category in a short amount of time, and if you don’t keep up with the new ideas of the competition, you’re going to get left in the dust.

The first race in the video pits the Devil’s Reject up against a very-turbocharged Supra. The Supra nearly loses it off the line, handing the win to the Mustang. However, the Mustang completed that pass at 7.58 at 186.18 miles per hour. Keep that in mind for later reference.

The second race sees the Mustang do a wheel stand, so it has to back off, handing the win to a Camaro in the left lane. Remember that time I mentioned above? The Camaro’s ET was 7.12 seconds with a trap speed of 191.57 miles per hour. The competition is not exactly slow.

A couple more races prove that mid 7s just won’t do it any more. The competition is fierce, and it’s time to find some more speed.
